- Speed related issues: Even while using Dosbox, usually when you are facing an issue and the game crashes, it's due to the fact that the game is running on a faster CPU speed that it was made for. In that case, the most common thing to do (and it usually does the job), is to go to the game options, then slide the game speed all the way up and the game detail all the way down. That is the first solution you should always try if things don't work out well during game play.

- So you say to yourself: "I don't wanna use freaking Dosbox! I wanna be able to play my QFG games without any additional programs or modifications!!! What do I do?!?!?!" Well...buy a Pentium I then! :D Of course if you are lucky enough, you will have a Pentium I with Windows 98 on it (like I do!) and then you won't even need to use Dosbox ;) Why Windows 98 and not Windows 95? Because with Windows 98, the Pentium I will run slower and therefore, will have better chances of getting through Error52! You won't even need to adjust your game speed or detail for that matter! With that idea in mind, Pentium I's or older PC's should be sold as gold these days ;)

QFG III

- Trouble giving the saurus horn to the Laibon: So you are ready to go through the Simbani Warrior Initiation contest and you have the saurus horn to give to the Laibon as proof that you are worthy to go through the contest. You enter the Laibon's hut ready to give him the horn but the option is just not there. What do you do? Well here's my case.. I had the horn ready and I even had the materials required to ask the Leopard lady for marriage. When I saw that the option wasn't there, I went to my hut at the Simbani village, and put all the saurus horns that I had inside the chest. Then, I went and got myself new saurus horns (you won't believe how many sauruses will come after you when you don't need them to!) and went back to the Laibon and gave him the horn. Yes, the option was there after that.

- Trouble giving the marriage materials to the Laibon once you realize you need to marry the Leopard lady? Well, you can try putting the materials in your chest, inside your hut at the Simbani village. Then take them back and go to the Laibon again. Or....you can put the materials away and go buy new ones in Tarna...

QFG IV

- Sliding down the path outside the Dark Caves: If your game crashes while trying to go down the path, go to the game options and slide the game speed all the way up and slide the game detail all the way down and try again.

- Error52 while fighting the chernovy or exiting the screen at the mad monk's tomb: If your game crashes while fighting the chernovy or exiting the screen at the mad monk's tomb, try the following options:

o Restore a saved game before you go to the swamp (like somewhere in the forest). Go to game options and slide your game speed all the way up and your game detail all the way down. Try to go through the chernovy fight again.

o If the first option fails, then your computer is probably too fast to handle the error52 issue. Please send me a saved game somewhere before entering the swamp (like in the forest). Make sure you also send the GLORYSG.CAT file included in the same folder so that the list of the saved games will display in the game. Please specify the name of the saved game in your message. You can email me your files here: elsavonspielburg@questformoreglory.com.

Once I take your character through the chernovy fight and receive the Bone Ritual for you, I will send the saved game back to you so you can continue the game from that point and after.

- Ending the game: If you have trouble ending the game, it's probably due to a speed related problem. Restore a saved game before the last ritual screen (the screen of the heart ritual/main dark cave where you get to climb up to the last ritual screen will do just fine). Go to game options and slide your game speed all the way up and your game detail all the way down. Then climb up and try to finish the game again. If it doesn't work, you can email me your saved game (from the heart ritual screen or earlier), as stated above and I will finish the game for you and send you your character file.
